Munich, 25 May 2011 – Linde Finance BV, guaranteed by Linde AG (A3 stable/A- stable) has today successfully placed EUR 600mn of senior notes in a 10 year maturity. The bond with a coupon of 3.875%, issued under the recently updated EMTN program, was priced at plus 60 basis points over MidSwaps. The transaction was four times oversubscribed with a huge demand from high quality institutional and retail intermediaries. The proceeds from the transaction will be used for the refinancing of the debt tender announced on the 16 May, 2011 for the EUR 1bn 4.375% Notes due 2012 and the EUR 300m 5.375% Notes due 2013 as well as general corporate purposes.
“With this transaction we further extend our debt maturity profile at attractive funding levels,” said Georg Denoke, member of the Executive Board and CFO of Linde AG.
