Munich, 05 August 2010: Linde Gases, a division of The Linde Group, today announced its participation at Aluminium 2010 in Essen, Germany. In addition to their Low-temperature Oxyfuel combustion technology which enables up to 50 percent decreased fuel consumption and ultra low NOx emissions, Linde will also be exhibiting its WASTOX® combustion process allowing for the production of energy from the recycling of low-grade scrap and its FLEXFLAME® oxyfuel burner which ensures optimal heating of an entire furnace volume throughout the melt cycle.
Also on display will be Linde’s inert gas solutions for improving product quality and appearance and its MIG (metal inert gas) welding technologies which provide improved production rates and product quality to both manufacturers of individual items and for mass production applications.
Based on the principles of flameless combustion, Low-temperature Oxyfuel is the leading solution for recycling, re-melting and alloying furnaces. Increasing melt rates with reduced oxidation, lower fuel consumption and ultra-low NOx emissions, Linde’s Low-temperature Oxyfuel has demonstrated impressive results across five aluminium plants. These successful installations are found reverbatory and alloying furnaces, however recent tests have clearly also demonstrated benefits for rotary furnaces.
In over 150 installations, Linde’s oxyfuel solutions have increased melting rates by as much as 100 percent, reduced fuel consumption by up to 50 percent and emissions by up to 90 percent.
“Linde is constantly pioneering new technologies to develop innovative, efficient and cost-saving solutions that create significant advantages in a highly competitive market and we work in strong partnership with our aluminium customers each step of the way. Aluminium 2010 is a great platform for us to showcase some of these technologies along with live demonstrations of their benefits,” says Joachim von Schéele, Marketing Manager, Metals and Glass Industries, Linde Gases Division.
Linde can be found at booth H40, hall 3, at Exhibition Centre Essen, Germany, from September 23 to 25, 2010.
